CUE Implementation Project

Current Sprint

Sprint 13 (08/13/18-08/24/18)
FCC Resources: ~6
CCI Resources: ~1.5

Sprint Goals

Started with first round of interviews for a new Project Manager.

Identified and resolved early round of advertising QA issues.

Layout issues for Inforum’s homepage took far less time than anticipated to resolve and the requested layout was available within the first day of Sprint 13.

Resource availability from last week was lower than anticipated due to staff illnesses.

Newly identified priority regarding Grand Forks Herald E-Edition/Print Reduction is going to interrupt additional progress in Sprint 13.

UAT Process has been held up because of issues found while performing additional QA on the site features.

Website search has been identified as a blocker for go-live. Currently waiting on requirements from product management.

Progress on the DTI and Live Migration processes have been held up from issues with file generation on Drupal (handling duplicate images) and DTI (IT).

Support for currently live products has taken away attention and resources from Sprint tasks (Chartbeat, Widget and Apartments HQ issues).

Sprint Reports

Nearly all incomplete story points for both sprints were due to migration tasks being incomplete or blocked. The increase of story points at the end were due to new issues added to the sprint that were not estimated until sprint end.

QA/UAT Sprint 13

The scope of this sprint has increased significantly due to the addition of bugs identified in the QA process along with the additional need of requiring some foundational knowledge with CUE and the capabilities available for a website search.

Migration Sprint 13

Progress in this sprint has stalled significantly due to complications with generation of files for the Live Migration and IT’s available bandwidth to generate/update the files for the DTI integration. Additional progress may be stalled

Grand Forks Herald – Newly identified project to be able to provide E-Edition access for Grand Forks Herald users – awaiting requirements.

Currently Unaddressed Issues

Drupal News Websites

Chartbeat Historical Reports – Author and Section info are not being populated for Chartbeat causing the Historical Reporting (beta) not to gather data.

Redirect Module Bug – When an article title or category is updated, the redirect module will occasionally fail to properly create the correct 301 redirect. Resulting in a 404 error.

File Upload Bug – Occasionally users will get an AJAX error when attempting to upload photos to the website.

Access Denied Bug – User session cookies will occasionally corrupt and remove the ability for newsroom users to access the Drupal Admin.

Facebook links from https – Facebook shares are not pulling in images when using the https version of the URL.

Google Drive Integration not functioning for LC News Chronicle

Park Rapids and Worthington Paid Political Letters – Add importing from iServices for these two sites.

Lakes Group Legals Update – Updates to the Lakes Group sites to display Legal Notices.

Drupal Database issues with Master/Slave handling – Even when explicitly instructed to utilize the slave databases, Drupal 7 functions will default to the Master database. This has been causing issues for over a year and a half due to the scale of FCC News Website operations.

WCTrib Active Directory Integration – The deprecation of the Willmar AD site has broken the AD integration for all Willmar users.

Drop in Ad Requests – Starting 04/19/18 Advertising requests have dropped by a reportedly large amount. Dave Wruck has worked with the Advertising partners to rule out any issues with DFP/AdX setup. Advertising code has not been altered since February 7, 2018 with the inclusion of the Origami widget. Issue possibly stems from the Network or Systems side.
