The Dickinson Press, an award-winning 7,200 daily newspaper, is proud to have served southwestern North Dakota for 118 years.

The Dickinson Press has won the North Dakota Newspaper Association annual General Excellence Award 10 of the past 13 years and has won the annual Sweepstakes Award all seven years it has been given

The Press also produces the Advertizer, a weekly shopper with a circulation of more the 18,000. Other supplements created and produced by the Dickinson Press include the Ag Review, a monthly Real Estate Guide, Football and Basketball tabs, Holiday Cookbook, quarterly Coupon Book, Bridal section …
Sixty hard-working, dedicated employees call the Dickinson Press home, eight hours a day … five days a week.

Located 100 miles from the state capitol and on the edge of the Badlands, Dickinson has excellent medical facilities plus great educational opportunities through the public school system and Dickinson State University.
Dickinson is an agricultural-based area with a strong manufacturing section, including TMI (international cabinet maker) and Baker Boy (an international supplier of breads, pastries … the works).
Dickinson is also home to the 23,400 sq. ft. Dakota Dinosaur Museum -- a facility displaying earth science specimens excavated from the area as a community educational and economic development project.

Ten giant sculptures, one every few miles, paired with picnic areas and playground equipment are being constructed by metal sculptor and retired school teacher Gary Greff. There's a depiction of Teddy Roosevelt riding a bucking, a Tin Family, a covey of pheasants (the rooster is 60 feet long, the hen 50 feet and three 12-foot high chicks), plus the world's largest grasshopper. A flock of geese was recently added, and two deer, a giant fish leaping from a scrap metal pond and a 70-foot tall buffalo are in the works. Plans also include a water park, restaurant, and amphitheater.

To the west is Medora and the Badlands, featuring a state-of-the-art amphitheatre. Visitors and residents can take a step back in time in historic Medora.
Dickinson also shows off its western hospitality with Roughrider Days every July plus a yearly ag show.
For hunting enthusiasts, Dickinson is full of wildlife … deer, pheasant, turkey, grouse, fur-bearing, antelope. And recreationally … there's boating, fishing, snowmobiling, golfing, swimming, cross-country skiing, hiking, camping …

Dickinson, with more than 16,000 residents, is truly the "Queen City of the Prairie."
