KBMY TV began broadcasting in the spring of 1986, along with their satellite station KMCY TV, bringing the entire ABC Television Network schedule to Bismarck and Minot, North Dakota for the first time in history.

KBMY TV is located in North Dakota’s capitol city, Bismarck. Located on the scenic and recreational Missouri River, Bismarck has two high schools, a private college and two progressive hospitals providing excellent medical care to the community as well as being a shopping destination for the area. The history of the area provides the opportunity to visit historical sites and museums, which provide a visual education of the life on the Missouri and the journey of Lewis and Clark. Bismarck has a great zoo for all to enjoy.
