Morris, population 5,000, is a thriving agricultural community located in the heart of west central Minnesota. It is a hub of agricultural research, manufacturing and cultural opportunities for the area. The city’s annual festival, Prairie Pioneer Days, is held each year during the second weekend in July. Recreational opportunities in the area include hunting, fishing, boating, golfing, camping, and snowmobiling. The county seat of Stevens County, Morris is also home to the University of Minnesota, Morris (UMM) and the University of Minnesota’s West Central Research and Outreach Center (WCROC).
